Going Viral: Our Wonder Woman Baby

How does one explain the series of events that lead up to this point? It has been a whirlwind and we just feel so grateful to have been a part of it! It started in October when I posted a shoot I did of my daughter Liliana dressed up as baby Wonder Woman (original post). I just had a vision of Liliana attempting the super hero feats with her adorable baby self for a fun little shoot. Once I posted it, within days it went viral. It started off with Bored Panda and Parents Magazine, then was featured on numerous news sites and translated into different languages like German, French, Portuguese, Spanish, Mandarin, Japanese and Polish.

Then bigger publications started contacting us. Calls and emails from ABC World News, Good Morning America, The Huffington Post, The Daily Mail, Baby Center, Conde Nast (editor for Vanity Fair, GQ, Vogue, etc), Yahoo News, and then unexpectedly came a Live Interview on Chicago’s WGN Morning News.

We were so excited (and nervous) to be on the local news to share our little story. Especially on WGN which is Chicago’s highest rated Morning News show. Liliana got dressed up in her costume for her first TV appearance and waved at the camera! The boys and Ray even got some air time (as well as some free snacks and beverages in the green room) :). We love Robin Baumgarten and Larry Potash and they were so welcoming and kind to us. We’ll never forget that day! You can take a peek at the interview in the video links below.

After that all our friends and family were pushing for us to try to get on Ellen. We went for it and applied, and though I really do believe we crossed their desks over at NBC, we never received a call back. Also we have yet to receive any word back from Gal Gadot herself, but still have hope she’ll somehow see the photos one day and that they bring a huge smile to her face! Regardless we were so excited and grateful to have experienced all we did and will never ever forget this time of our lives.
